Summary
I have specialised in medical publishing for over 16 years, initially with Elsevier (Oxford) and PJB Publications (London), before moving into medical communications in 1998 with Adis International (Chester and Los Angeles) and Prime Medica (Knutsford).
I have worked in both editorial and account services departments, with roles including Principal Writer, Editorial Services Director and Account Director.
Freelance profile
I have been freelance for over 18 months and have contributed to a wide range of projects, as detailed below.
Key projects have included development of a strategic communications plan for a new cardiovascular account, editorial management of two large European stand-alone meetings (including on-site attendance), and provision of office-based Account Management support.
I am happy to travel to attend meetings and to take on office-based work in the North-West.

Therapeutic areas
I have worked across most therapy areas, including anaemia, HIV, hyperphosphataemia, MRSA, vaccines, cardiovascular medicine (hypertension, hyperlipidaemia), GERD, osteoporosis, diabetes and headache. I am happy to work on projects in any therapy area.
